Rotary International has embraced protecting the environment as a core objective of Rotary. The Rotary Club of Geelong has embarked on a number of practical substainabilty projects in the local community so the opportunity to present Ross in Geelong is an extension of our Club’s ambition towards sustainabilty.

At this exclusive event you will hear Ross Ganaut’s thoughts first hand, followed by an extensive Q&A session whilst enjoying a light lunch.

Ross Garnaut is an economist whose career has been built around the analysis of and practice of policy connected to development, economic policy and international relations in Australia, Asia and the Pacific. He is a former ambassador to China and intimately familiar with its rise as the world’s major manufacturer. He has written several reports on Climate change and the economic effects on Australia and more recently authored several books on the opportunities for Australia in a low emissions world....... He has held senior roles in universities, business, government and other Australian and international institutions.

He is Emeritus Professor of Economics at The University of Melbourne and The Australian National University. He is also Director of ZEN Energy.

Ross is donating his time, allowing all proceeds from this special event go towards environment and sustainability projects supported by the Rotary Club of Geelong.

Tickets are $75 for Adults and $65 for Students
